24 September 2020 - Early Determination in International Arbitration

Dear Colleagues,

We have the pleasure to invite you to our next meeting on the topic "Early Determination in International Arbitration".

In recent years, some arbitral institutions have adopted rules enabling arbitral tribunals to make a determination of points of law or facts at an early stage of the proceedings. Are such rules desirable and used in practice? What are the conditions for granting an early determination? These are some of the questions that will be discussed at this session.

Their presentations, which will be held in English, will be followed by a general discussion during which the members of the Group will be able to share their experiences and ask questions.

Interested persons are invited to register by email with Ms Tamara Moriaud: A cocktail will follow the reunion and will take place at the CCIG premises. Please note that due to sanitary restrictions, the maximum number of participants is 25. Registrations will be taken on a first come, first serve basis. A live broadcast will also be accessible via Zoom. More details will be sent to you shortly.

We are looking forward to seeing you at this event.

Kind regards,

                      Alexandra Johnson             Jean Marguerat
