ASA Below 40 Appoints New Co-chair

01.12.2017 - ASA Below 40 thanks outgoing co-chair Melissa Magliana for her contributions to ASA Below 40 and welcomes Olivier Mosimann.

This years ASA below 40 Fall Seminar in Zurich on “Prayers for relief” was also the occasion to thank Melissa Magliana for her great contribution to ASA below 40 during her three-year term as co-chair. She has been a driving force of our young group, not only as co-chair, but since as early as she joined ASA below 40 as a member over 10 years ago. To mark her departure, she even chose as the theme of this year’s Fall seminar the same thematic she had discussed in her presentation as speaker in 2006… .
We extend our greatest thanks for her contribution to the group, hope to see her at a few more of our events and wish her all the best for the future!

The Fall Seminar was also the opportunity for us to announce the appointment of our new fellow co-chair, Olivier Mosimann.  Olivier is a Senior Associate at the Swiss law firm Kellerhals Carrard, working from the firm’s Basel office. He is qualified to practice law as an attorney in Switzerland. Prior to joining Kellerhals Carrard, Olivier worked in the arbitration teams of Swiss law firms Homburger and LALIVE. Olivier graduated from the University of Basel and from the University of California, Berkeley (LL.M., Certificate of Specialization in Law and Technology). Olivier specializes in international as well as domestic commercial arbitration and litigation, including enforcement and annulment of arbitral awards and proceedings for interim relief, involving various sectors (including pharma, chemical, hi-tech, energy, sports, consumer goods and financial services) and concerning diverse matters (including licensing, distribution, production, trading, joint venture, post-M&A, sponsoring and financing). Olivier has been a very active member of ASA below 40 for many years and is already bringing in fresh ideas for the organization’s activities next year.
